Corio Industrial Pier Repair

Last week we had one of our operators on site with the Tas Marine crew again, this time down in Corio bay enabling them to complete repair works to an existing concrete pier.

Areas of the existing pier had been assessed and although the concrete looked sound, the timber bearers supporting the concrete on bondeck slab required attention to ensure they could support the plant and equipment working on the pier.

Our operator was on site with a road saw, hand saw and ringsaw to cut through a 150mm thick slab, cutting it into blocks that would be supported by the existing bearers until they were hooked up and removed using a crane and lifting plates.

Works are on going as more sections are being assessed
